W Abrasives' Steel Shot and Steel Grit are manufactured in North America and conform to SAE specifications for hardness, screening, and chemistry. W Abrasives' unique manufacturing process eliminates residual chlorides that are found all other competitive manufacturer's media. Residual chlorides can be detrimental and can enhance coating failure.

Steel Shot

is a ferrous media that is spherical and is the longest-lasting abrasive available today. It is typically used in heavy-duty descaling, surface profiling, peening and cleaning applications. It measures a 40 - 51 RC Hardness. Steel Shot can be used in either wheel blast or air blast equipment. Due to its extreme durability, it is most beneficial when used in conjunction with reclaim equipment.
