- In detail
The TL-200 Series of motorized up/down lifts is typically used for lifting Plasma screens and LCD screens from cabinets. The remarkably stable operation of this rack and pinion lift provides smooth and sure travel.
As shown, this lift requires the use of the traditional "box within a box" cabinet design. An inner box sits upon our lift platform and raises up to reveal the TV. The Plasma is backmounted to the inside of the inner box using the TV manufacturer's wall mount bracket.
Controls available include radio remote control, infrared remote control, and low voltage/contact closure control interface to tie-in to your home automation system.
The rule of thumb for sizing a Plasma lift is that the overall width of the lift should be at least 5.5" wider than the width of your TV if you are using the "box within a box" cabinetry style, and at least 3.5" wider than the width of your TV if you are using the backplate option. This space accomodates the width of our gear racks and clearances between the gear racks, the inner box, and the TV.
This lift is also available with an optional backplate. The backplate option allows the Plasma TV to raise and lower without the use of an inner box. This feature highlights the thin depth of the Plasma TV. A sturdy assembly raises from the back of the lift platform for mounting the Plasma TV directly to the backplate, with the TV manufacturer's wall mount bracket. "Legs" extend forward from the top of the backplate to securely support the cabinet top with dowels or velcro.
If the backplate will be visible due to the way the cabinet is positioned in the room, the cabinetmaker typically applies veneer, paints or stains it to match the cabinetry.
Use of the backplate option provides a more high-tech appearance than the traditional "box within a box" cabinet design.
