Description
Health insurance plans that pay doctor and hospital bills do not typically pay for nursing home or at-home care. Long-Term Care policies will pay a nursing-home benefit for up to four years at an average daily cost. Most policies come with a deductible or waiting period, usually 20 days. Coverage is generally available for those between 50 and 84 years old.
