Ommegang Seduction - 750ml

A solid black liquid with a creamy, overflowing cap of tan head that retained and laced well. I'd naturally assumed this was a stout (actually, it's a porter). Sweet aroma, dark malts, chocolate, subdued black cherries; as it warmed, I got a distinctive doughy aroma, like Christmas cut-out cookies. Very nice taste, sweet with dark malts, toned-down cherries, and dark chocolate. Amazingly smooth texture...my favorite characteristic of this beer. I don't know how well it translates in the bottle, but it was velvety creamy goodness on tap. On the heavier side of medium-bodied, and a very drinkable beer overall.
