Description
An elegant, balanced Chardonnay with concentrated flavors of apricot and florals. Aging in neutral French oak barrels brings a soft and creamy texture, with a full, rich mouthfeel.
Tasting Notes:
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw in color, with aromas of apricot, florals, green apple and vanilla. On the palate it offers a bright acidity, with rich apricot and apple flavors and full mouthfeel.
Vineyard Notes:Our estate vineyard lies in the western hillsides above the upper reach of the Dry Creek Valley. Benchland soils (=depth and fullness) and mountain-top soils (=complexity and structure), combined with vigor-limiting rootstock and limited irrigation yield intense fruit flavors from smaller berries. The Chardonnay grapes are all Dijon clones (clones 75, 76, 95, 96, and 124) which add complexity and structure, along with floral and mineral notes.
