Description
Following up on the much-enjoyed previous vintages of the Dreyer Sonoma Chardonnay, comes once again a value priced Sonoma County Chardonnay from the Dreyer Family. This 2009 release is comprised of grapes from selected mature vineyards in Sonoma County, with its fruit coming from vineyards in Alexander Valley. This wine was primarily stainless steel fermented and then oak aged prior to bottling. Golden in color, the grapes were picked with perfect ripeness and natural acidity. With lovely pear and pineapple aromas, this wine shows great balance between its Sonoma County ripe fruit nose combined with the post fermentation oak influence aging resulting in a rich wine showing varietal character and great value. This wine is versatile as an aperitif or paired with light meats such as chicken, pork, or fish dishes.
